Terms and conditions

These terms apply to Millers House business owners and their employees (referred here as WE/US/OUR) and the person or legal entity making a booking and to whom we supply services in respect of the Booking (referred here as YOU/YOUR).
These terms are governed by English Law.


Legal contract comes into effect when you have made the booking and we have accepted it. We will accept a Booking when we have confirmed your booking and received your card details securely for guarantee purpose.
You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18 years old to make a Booking.
Bookings can be paid for with credit/debit card, paypal, bank transfer to our bank account or cash on arrival.


We do not charge VAT as we are not VAT registered.
Prices quoted are per room per night and does not include breakfast. Breakfast is charged separately.
Prices for single occupancy mean for one person staying in the room for one night
Double occupancy – two persons staying in the room for one night
Double occupancy + child – two adults and child staying in one room for one night
Prices do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated).
Standard prices for the room (as stated in “Rooms” page) apply throughout the year. Special prices apply during the Goodwood events period and during some other events or bank holidays. We may also offer discounted room rates in low season. Please check on live booking systems current prices offered.



The total price quoted for the Booking will be taken from your card via our online booking system at the time of booking or at the time of arrival via on-line terminal or chip/pin card terminal.


To secure your booking you must provide us with your valid debit or credit card details as a guarantee, should you not arrive or cancel later than 48 hours before the date of arrival we will charge a cancelation fee. However You may pay cash on arrival
All additional goods and services purchased during your stay must be paid in full on presentation of invoice at the check-out.


The cancellation fee is the cost of one night’s stay of the accommodation as specified on your Booking


Booking can be cancelled by the guest any time 48 hours before the date of arrival and no cancellation fee will be applied.
If a Booking is cancelled within 48 hours of date of arrival or in the case of ‘No Show’ the cancellation fee will be charged to the card provided.
At our discretion and if we manage to fill in the vacancy we may not charge the cancellation fee.


Generally rooms are available for check-in from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, guests wishing to arrive outside these hours have to inform us of their estimated arrival time.
We expect guests to have vacated their rooms by 10:00AM on the weekday of departure or 11:00AM on weekends.
In the unlikely event we may need access to a room during a guest’s stay for urgent maintenance. We hope to create minimal disturbance in such cases and expect the guest to understand.
A guest who does not vacate their room by the agreed check-out time will be deemed to have agreed to stay for a further night at full cost.


All ground floor accommodation is accessible by wheelchair. We are more than happy to help you with your luggage and anything else you may require. We would ask that you kindly inform us of any special requirements, so that we can arrange for these to be in place upon your arrival.
We welcome guard dogs for visually impaired.


Our building has smoke detectors and a fire alarm system. We expect guests not to tamper with this equipment and will ask any guest who does so to leave immediately, with no compensation or refund.


We operate non-smoking policy in all rooms and other parts of the building. Smoking is permitted in designated place only.
At breakfast we expect guests to be fully dressed and be wearing shoes. Outdoor work clothes are not acceptable in the dining room at any time.
We expect all guests to be considerate of their fellow guests’ privacy and expectation of a peaceful stay. Should we, or other guests, have a reasonable complaint about nuisance behaviour or noise; that guest will be asked to leave immediately. No refund will be made for that night’s stay.
If a guest causes damage to any part of the building, bedroom, linen, fixtures or fittings, we will charge the guest the full cost of repair or replacement. Ideally we would like to discuss the damage with the guest during their stay to agree a fair cost. However, damage which is not identified until after departure will be charged to the guest’s credit, debit or charge card. This is particularly relevant to any damage caused by smoking.
We would prefer guests not to consume brought-in food in the bedrooms. Any staining of linen etc will be considered as ‘damage’ and charged for.


Should the guest leave their belongings at our premises we will take reasonable care to contact the guest to arrange the return. We will require the cost of the return (i.e. postage) to be covered by the guest upfront.
It is however guest’s responsibility to contact us to claim their left belongings
Should it is not possible to identify who the left property belong to and guest fails to claim it, the belongings will be disposed of after 2 weeks.


We provide internet access via WI-FI router and the current password is shown on the leaflet in the room. Guests may use this access for their email and general enquiries.
The downloading of music, films or any media covered by copyright is not allowed. Should the latter subsequently be identified, the details of all users of the internet at that time will be passed to the relevant authorities.


Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the Booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.
We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.


We may process the information you provide to us for the purposes of managing your Booking only. By making a Booking, you consent to this processing of information.
